BLIND DATE

For some reason, we just call Blind Date "Beate". She joined us in spring 2012. Until that time, the exceedingly rideable and always willing chestnut Hanoverian mare had been trained by Brigitta Wittig and her husband Wolfram Wittig - and they successfully guided her from one achievement to the next. Her first real highlight was when she won the qualifier for the Final at the WC in Verden in the class for five-year old dressage horses. Unfortunately, just before she was supposed to ride in the Final, Blind Date sprained her ankle and had to be withdrawn.

She made up for this in 2009 – and this time she won the Burg Pokal Final. Immediately afterward she started in Grand Prix classes. In 2011, Blind Date and Brigitte took second place in the Medien Cup Final of Münster/GER. First and other placings in the Grand Prix tours of Odense/DEN, Stuttgart/GER, Bremen/GER and Dortmund/GER were added.

Blind Date and I made our debut at our summer show in Achleiten and immediately placed second twice in the Special tour. First and other placings followed in Oldenburg/GER, Stuttgart/GER and Salzburg/AUT.

In 2014 and 2015, we listed almost 20 victories in Grand Prix in a row, including the win of the Austrian Championship in Steyr. In 2015 Blind Date competed in her first championship and managed to fantastically place tenth in the European Championship Grand Prix of Aachen / GER. In 2016 she effortlessly did the Olympic Games qualifier, but unfortunately she has  not been able to compete in Rio / BRA due to injury.

ORIGIN

Blind Date‘s sire, Breitling W, won numerous international Grand Prix dressage competitions all the way to Nations Cups and World Cup freestyles under Wolfram Wittig/GER. In 2000, the couple took bronze at the German Championships in Münster and ranked fourth in the years 2002, 2004 and 2005. Breitling W produced a large number of Grand Prix horses such as Burlington FRH/Charlott-Maria Schürmann, Baldessarini/Gina Capellmann-Lütkemeier, Berkeley W and Bertoli W/both Wolfram Wittig, Biagiotti WW and Brioni W/both Brigitte Wittig/GER.

His dam Donnice produced other siblings such as the advanced (S) level dressage horse Fürst-Figo (by Fielmann), a medium (M) level dressage horse named Breitinger (by Breitling W) and St.Pr.St. Riva Bella (by. Rubin Royal) who is the dam of a filly named Jamaika (by Jazz).

The dam’s sire is none other than the trademark stallion Donnerhall.

The granddam, St.Pr.St. Petrouchka, produced the advanced (S) level dressage horses Don Diarado/Jonny Hilberath, Dona Anna R and three other dressage horses. She is a full sister of the licensed stallion Placido and of St.Pr.St. Granny's Girl, the dam of the licensed stallions Donatelli I, Donatelli II and Dorano M (all by Donnerhall).

Blind Date’s pedigree also contains two further heroes in breeding, Pik Bube I and Graphit.
