ACHLEITEN CASTLE

The history of Schloss Achleiten [Achleiten Castle] goes back to the 12th century where it was mentioned in records for the first time. In those days it was the main residence of the Achleuthner family. Since then, Schloss Achleiten has not only changed owners many times but also changed in appearance. My family purchased the estate in 1982 and painstakingly restored the castle in a proper style. In the period between 1989 and 1991, the riding facility where we keep our horses was constructed under the direction of my mother and since 1992 it has been the annual venue of the CDI*** Achleiten. In 1999, the EC for junior dressage riders was held here and in 2007 the Austrian State Championships.
