Ebreichsdorf: An amazing weekend - a lot of "first times" and HAPPY EASTER

We finished our indoor season this year with the strongly occupied CDI4* at the Magna-Racino in Ebreichsdorf - and it was a "mega" weekend! But everything in order...

HAPPY EASTER!!!

„Vali“ or actually really Valparaiso, our eight-year-old son of the Vitalis prince Piccolo went for the first time internationally small tour and could more than connect to his previous successes. He won both the first St. Georg and his very first Inter I superiorly with more than 74 percent in front of team world champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with her offspring hopes Exclusive BB and Sir Max. Vali is becoming more and more confident and I must honestly say that it is really fun to ride competitions with him. Thank you daddy for accompanying Vali with Wolfi so well in his training so far - you really feel "at home" in his saddle. He shone with a great leaning, and had many highlights throughout the whole exam. The unfortunately shaky right-hand pirouette in the Inter I is on my account - but I will prepare it a bit better next time.

Benaglio was definitely my big hero of the weekend!
He went his very first (!) Grand Prix at all, the same international one and that in a really strong field with Olympic Champion Showtime under Dorothee Schneider, Famoso with Benjamin Werndl and many more. He let himself - without really knowing what to expect - be ridden really great. But one thing at a time: I really can't praise him enough - with over 72.6 percent despite a few small things he came out of the Grand Prix. And also in his first Special, which we haven't practiced at home yet, he delivered in full. An insecurity in the first ones - I have to take it on the nose, because I was probably a bit too motivated ... but so many highlights, always a great leaning and a heart like a lion! Such an eagerness to work and such an attitude with so much positive sensitivity is really a madness - I am very, very proud of my little friend!

The Special Tour was also a highlight for the Austrian dressage! Astrid Neumayer and Sir Simon achieved great results up to over 71% and Belinda Weinbauer was also great with Fustanella! Two times over 70! This gives hope for a great season! Congratulations!!!

Also Stefan had a premiere! The first international tournament with "Navi" (Di Navarone) And also the first Special ever! In both competitions there were real highlights in e.g. piaffe and passage. The two have a great connection to each other and Navi gets more and more confidence in the competition - but in between there were some really expensive mistakes. But since everything worked out very well in practice, we are confident that we will be able to bring all this into the arena step by step in the future! Keep up the good work - it will be fun for the future! I am very proud of you! And thanks for your support at all times!

And another "first time" was my first international start with Fackeltanz in Grand Prix and freestyle. At the beginning of the year I was allowed to take him over in a super form from Stefan, who successfully rode his first international Grand Prix competitions last year. I am really thrilled how "Fackel" fought along and delivered especially in the canter. We could be happy about many notes of 8! After a great third place in the Grand Prix with over 72 percent (!), we went off into the first international freestyle and there were also many highlights, except for a somewhat "overzealous" first single line ... More than 76 percent of the riders finished second overall and even second behind the proven Zaire under Jessica. In the Freestyle Tour, Christian Schumach was also really well on the way from the Austrian point of view with 70 percent in the GP and over 74 percent in the Freestyle with Sinclair Jason. Then we had a little something to celebrate afterwards!

Tamara competed with our youngsters in the five-year tour for the first time internationally and at L-level and, in addition to a victory, she was able to bring home great placings with up to 87.60 percent! She had saddled Diamond of Eternity GV and Notting Hill GV. Just as victorious was Wolfgang Himsl's first international start with our Duracao MT (by Dimaggio) in the six-year-old class. Great job!!!

Also seven years old "we" were on the road with Dorothee Schneider and Sisters Act vom Rosencaree OLD, which is owned by my mother. Both days a superior victory with a lot of naturalness and ease for these difficult tasks at this young age!

Thanks to the team around Ulla Weigerstorfer and horse-events the third edition of the Dressage Classics offered best conditions and we are very grateful to the organizers and many hard-working helpers in front of and behind the scenes. I would also like to thank my parents for allowing me to introduce Vali and Fackel internationally, especially Isabell Werth, who supported us despite her busy schedule, and of course our team. With the successes of Ebreichsdorf, we have now earned a few relaxed days to recharge our batteries and are now starting the outdoor season with full power and motivation.

We wish you all a happy Easter, enjoy the holidays with your loved ones and please keep your fingers crossed for the next tasks! On Tuesday we will go to Münster for the sports test and then on to international - the schedule is full - let's go - we are looking forward to it!
