THE STABLES

The day in the stables at Schloss Achleiten begins early. At seven in the morning, the horses are fed. Until training begins around 9:00 a.m. there is still enough time for a first workout on the treadmill. Then it’s time for grooming. Falcao OLD was never too fond of being brushed with a curry comb because he is so ticklish but the others enjoy it very much.  Augustin OLD always likes to take every opportunity to test the reflexes of our staff by turning around as fast as lightening and trying to nip them. The next time around, he’ll certainly be born as a crocodile...

  • Each one of our horses is individually fed according to its needs.

  • And then it’s time to get ready for a round of training.
  • We usually start training the horses around 9:00 a.m.
  • But the ring is prepared first.
